Structural Foam
Structural foam molding is an injection molding process that combines polymer resin with a chemical blowing agent to produce thick-wall parts with high rigidity and superior impact resistance. This process maintains physical characteristics of the part with lower part weight, reduced press tonnage required for molding, and lower molded-in stress. Typical applications for structural foam include structural reinforcements as well as large enclosures for electronics or environmental applications. ECP has 25 years of experience delivering high-quality structural foam products to our customers.
